Program Description:

For over 30 years now, Webster’s Leiden’s campus has been providing a high standard of education in the Netherlands, giving students from all over the world the opportunity to experience the benefits of an American education. Today, Webster University Leiden is a home to over 350 students representing 45-plus nationalities.

Located along one of Leiden's many canals, in the historic center, Webster University Leiden’s charming building houses classrooms, offices, and a student lounge. The intimate campus setting offers small class sizes and the personal environment means that it's easy to get to know most of your fellow students, as well as faculty and staff.

Location

One of the Netherland’s best kept secrets, Leiden is a charming university town known for its welcoming student-centered atmosphere, its affordable public transportation and its many museums and galleries. It is a city with a rich past and a bright future–where you see lofty windmills, bicycles, picturesque canals and charming buildings all in one place. Located halfway between The Hague and Amsterdam; the city is easily accessible and it is possible to travel either by train or car to any destination in Europe. Whether you fancy the arts, nature or sports, you will feel right at home.

Academics

The primary language of instruction is English. Course offerings vary from semester to semester depending upon the faculty members assigned to teach at Webster-Leiden. For more information about the courses offered, please see the link below. The Fall semester courses are uploaded in March, the Spring semester courses are uploaded in late October, and the Summer term courses are uploaded in February. Housing

Study abroad students are housed in the Living and Learning Center (LLC), located just across the street from Webster Leiden's main building, in the heart of the old city center. The building was built in 1929 and was initially used as a vocational school for young women and most recently housed a language school. In keeping with this educational tradition, it is now home to Webster Leiden's Living and Learning Center.

The level of security at offers peace of mind to students and parents. You will have swipe card to access the building and a key for your room. The LLC offers on-site resident assistance and the office of Student Services is located inside the main entrance.
