Liberal Arts in Advanced Spanish
The Liberal Arts in Advanced Spanish Program in Alicante, Spain is available for both semester-long and full academic year durations. This program is designed for students to master Spanish while exploring liberal arts, this program merges intensive language courses with cultural immersion in a vibrant Mediterranean setting.

Academic Requirements
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Successful completion of two courses of advanced college Spanish or the equivalent
  • Approval from University of Alicante (UA) based upon your performance on the university’s Online Spanish Language Placement Exam

Once your SAU application is approved, you will need to apply directly to the Spanish Studies Abroad program of your choice.

Visit www.spanishstudies.org to apply and to find up-to-date program dates and fees.

Remember, payment plans cannot be used to cover study abroad program costs.

Next Steps:
1. Apply for a passport if you do not have one. Visit www.travel.state.gov and click on the Passports link. Passports must be valid at least 6 months after you return to the U.S.
2. Complete the post-acceptance steps on your study abroad application
3. Submit your signed Course Approval Form to the Center for International Education prior to departure.
