World Endeavors offers internship placements in both Paris and Nice, allowing interns to choose the experience to best fit their interests and career goals. Interns in France have the opportunity to live and work in Paris, the City of Light, or Nice, located in the French Riviera.
Interns can expect to work side by side with local colleagues, receive direction from a manager or staff member, and behave just as one would in a real job. On weekends or after work hours, interns engage in a host of activities depending on each participant’s tastes. Interns share meals with new friends or host family members, take in cultural events, explore the city, or even take day or weekend trips outside of the area. World Endeavors provides a list of possible activities in the area and the World Endeavors local coordinator can also function as an ever present guide and ambassador to the area.
Live in Nice or Paris
Nestled along the Mediterranean Sea, less than an hour from the Italian border, Nice offers its visitors a truly unique experience. With a wonderfully rich cultural background, including strong Italian influences, Nice features many museums, a beautiful historic quarter, a growing restaurant scene, and the azure blue waters of the Mediterranean. The city also has an incredibly welcoming community, with friendly locals and plenty for people of all ages to do, see, and discover. Nice offers a unique way of life and an extraordinary artistic culture shaped by musicians, painters, writers and chefs.
Attracting millions of tourists from around the world each year, Paris is one of the most widely-visited cities in the world. This large metropolitan city offers its visitors a wealth of cultural activities and attractions, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and the Champs Elysees. However, the city is anything but one-dimensional. Each of Paris’ twenty arrondissements (administrative districts) exudes its own unique culture and attitude, from the Latin Quarter in the 5th, to the classic bohemian feel of the 18th. Paris is the ideal destination to experience the hustle-and-bustle of the big city lifestyle, but also to enjoy a peaceful stroll along the Seine on a warm summer evening. With museums on almost every corner, World Endeavors interns in Paris will be sure to experience life as a true Parisian at their internship, as well as after hours.

Program Snapshot
Language Training: In addition to hands on experience in the industry, World Endeavors interns in France gain practical language skills. Interns begin their program with two weeks of intensive French language courses to prepare for the workplace. Classes are small and total 26 hours per week. Roughly 20 hours per week are focused on general language studies, while 6 hours per week are dedicated to practical application of the French language (i.e. vocabulary pertaining to participants’ internship placements.)
Housing: Housing accommodations include a private, single bedroom with a local French family. Interns have the opportunity to practice their French while building a lasting relationship with their hosts. Housing is located in close proximity to public transportation which allows a convenient and authentic commute to work.
Dates: Internships are available year round, and each placement is customized for the participant. This means that World Endeavors interns can choose the start date and duration of their internship, as well as the field. Due to holidays, traditional vacation schedules, and seasonal work availability, there might be better times than others to intern in a specific location or in a specific field. Our advisors work with interns to ensure that their timeframe works adequately with the internship site. This communication is a key to creating a successful internship placement.
Duration: Generally, the minimum program duration for interning in France is 2 months. Also, due to visa constraints, the maximum duration is 3 months. Contact World Endeavors if you would like to go for duration outside of this.
