Program Description:
International Issues in Leadership

Course:  MOL 645  (3 credits)
Instructor: Dr. Dan Ebener, Professor of Organizational Leadership

Builds upon leadership and management theories, enhances the skill-building from the course work offered in College of Business graduate programs at St. Ambrose University, and offers an experiential trip to Croatia in partnership with Zagreb School of Economics and Management.  This course is an opportunity to practice leadership skills in an international context and integrate concepts and models of international leadership and social change.

The change process involves the Theory U process designed by Otto Scharmer: (1) seeing with a more open mind, (2) sensing with a more open heart, (3) “presensing” with a more open will, (4) crystallizing with vision and intention, (5) prototyping by linking heart, head and hand, and (6) performing by leading from the emerging future.  This course provides insight into co-creating and co-leading change in an increasingly global world that requires new models of thinking, managing and leading.
